  • Web Development workshop by Kyle Minshall from 7PM - 9PM at WCH 205/206! Learn some PHP basics to develop a webpage with the ability to log-in or sign-up for an account! Get started anytime here!

Thursday: 11/20/14

  • Hacker Monthly Meeting from 5PM - 6PM in WCH 203

  • Linux Workshop from 7PM - 9PM in WCH 226 (ACM Clubroom). We will be going over how to navigate using the command line, file manipulation, simple utilities, and some common terminology.

Friday: 11/21/14

Wednesday: Nov. 12th, 2014

  • Resume Workshop from 4PM - 5PM at WCH 232! This is a good chance to prepare yourself for applying internships or full-time jobs! Make sure to bring a rough draft of how you think a resume should look like. We will be giving you tips on how to make your resume better!

Thursday: Nov. 13th, 2014

  • Hacker Monthly from 5PM - 6PM in WCH 203! Come join us in our weekly Hacker Monthly meetings to invent and build your own project! It’s never too late to get started! You can either join a project of your interest or come up with an idea of your own and request for prospective partners to join your team! This is a good chance to build your own portfolio to show professionals your work!

Friday: Nov. 14th, 2014

  • Table Top Game Night from 7PM - 10PM at WCH 226! Have you been stressing out with midterms lately? Then come relax with us and play some board games! We are selling boba drinks that night, so be sure to bring cash if you want to buy some. Boba drinks are also limited in stock!

P.S: The web development workshop may be held on next Monday, Nov. 17th. These details are tentative, but most definitely a good estimate of when we will actually host this web workshop.

Hey guys!

This week, don’t miss out on the following events!

  • Third General Meeting at WCH 205/206 from 4PM - 5PM this WEDNESDAY Nov. 5th, 2014. Hear us out on even more events that we have in store for you!

  • ACM ICPC Training sessions at WCH 133 from 5PM - 6PM on WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY! Nov. 5th and 7th of 2014. Don’t forget that ACM ICPC is at Riverside Community College this SATURDAY on Nov. 8th, 2014.

  • Hacker Monthly Meeting is on THURSDAY Nov. 6th, 2014 from 5PM - 6PM. The place is to be announced

  • HackSC is this FRIDAY from 7PM to SUNDAY 3PM on Nov. 7th - Nov. 9th. For those of you taking the UCR bus - All attendees are requested to assemble in front of Amy Harrison field by 3:45pm.

ACM's Second General Meeting Recap

Hey everyone,

Thanks for showing up to our second general meeting! If you were not able to make it, you can find our slides here.

Quick Overview

  • STEM fair is on Oct 28 11-2:30pm at the HUB. Everyone should be going to this.

  • ACM’s Google Mixer will be on Oct 28 as well, from 4-7pm at WCH232. Please be advised, officially paid ACM members will be let in to the event first since there is a limited amount of food/swag.

  • Google and Sears Tech talk will be Oct 29 3-5pm and 6-7:30pm respectively. Bring your resumes!

  • ACM ICPC Practices will be held every Friday from 5-6pm in WCH133. This weeks practice will be lead by Prof. Mike Izbicki. We will also be forming teams so please come if interested!

  • Unity Workshops will be held every Friday from 6-7pm in Bourns A265. These sessions will be lead by Will Matterer.

  • HackSC will be Nov 7-9 on the USC campus. If you are interested in attending, please see our facebook page here. We will be getting a shuttle to take students to the event, but have limited seating so please check the page out ASAP.

  • HackerMonthly will be every Mon from 7-8pm in Bourns A265. Meeting time is subject to change.

  • She++ is an event to encourage women to participate in the computer science field to excel. We don’t have too much information at this time other than it will be held Nov 21 from 5:30-8pm at Pasadena College
